About Me

I am a Yoga Alliance registered, YogaWorks certified teacher with great enthusiasm for sharing my love of yoga with my students, friends and family. My journey with yoga started several years ago and both practicing and teaching became my passion not long after I set foot on a yoga mat for the first time. My teaching style follows the principles of Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga, incorporating alignment, together with flow and attention to breath.

Originally from Hungary, I moved to the United States more than a decade ago to achieve a Masters Degree in International Education and later an MBA. In my previous professional life I worked in the fields of business development and education policy research... and then yoga changed my life and career path. While professional change is not always easy to undertake, my passion for yoga and sharing yoga with others compelled me to start my teaching practice that I wish to continue many years to come. As T. K. V. Desikachar says:  "Yoga serves the individual, and does so through inviting transformation rather than by giving information." I believe that if you open yourself up to the Universe, have faith in yourself and work full heartedly toward your goals, transformation happens and happiness awaits.

And nothing could be more of a proof for the Universe responding when you are ready than the exciting development in our lives that my husband and I became the owners of a yoga studio as of this Fall. And not just any yoga studio, but Quiet Mind Yoga here in DC, my home training and practice studio. It is such a beautiful journey and I feel more grateful than ever that I took my first steps and followed my heart. And I trust that many more surprises await.

Namaste.

"No matter what you are doing, keep the undercurrent of happiness. Learn to be secretly happy within your heart in spite of all circumstances."
